![]() ![]() So after all of the considerations, one of the places that doesn't mention bug infestations is Altamira. I don't care if they're ugly as all sin as long as theyre functional and aren't known for being "shitty", like how some complexes in my area are. I'm not asking for like, an in depth realtor analysis of a place, I just don't want bed bugs and would like the least amount of chance for getting my shit broken into or stolen (although to be fair, the area i'm in now is far from safe either), and also want to live in a decent unit. I will be visiting for a day or two when we have a couple units narrowed down (because i dont want to sign anything without seeing the unit first), but I don't want to compile this list of awful places and then be stuck with one or two crappy options when it's moving time. We kind of have to move to the area blindly. Like "BED BUGS! INFESTED WITH MOLD! BURN IT TO THE GROUND!" or "managment sacrificed a goat in my back yard but let me keep the blood, 3/5". Literally every decently priced place I have found (we are looking for 2 bedroom units under $1000, in an area with decent schooling because of my son) seems horrifying when I read the google and apartmentratings reviews. I'll be honest, I have been looking at apartments NON STOP for two weeks now. It's eating into our savings, there's N O T H I N G to do here, and we are landlocked at least 50 miles in all directions from any town with another movie theatre in it, even. we pay a little over $1450 for an apartment here and its almost half of our income right now, but I live in a very rich town that relies heavily on oil (the job market, housing, ect.except gas is like a buck so i guess theres that) and we can't afford it anymore. So, basically, my husband got a job offer in the springs, so we're moving there when our lease is up.
